Brief
Arnos Vale Cemetery was the subject of a multi-million pound lottery grant to restore a 45 acre site with over 24 Grade II listed headstones including graves of key local people such as George Muller, Mary Carpenter, Captain James Hoskens and many beautiful monuments including that of the Raja Ramahon Roy. It has a fascinating history and abundant wildlife which has thrived over the years and is a significant site in the history of Bristol.
With this restoration programme came the need to reposition Arnos Vale’s image and clarify the key messages about what the cemetery is about, its significance and what it offers. Many citizens of Bristol were aware of the campaign to save the cemetery but thought the site was shut and did not know what it has to offer.
The website is being used as a key repositioning tool and is part of the internet marketing programme (e-newsletters etc), as well as containing brochure information, event info and offering services that can be purchased online.
